Solidarity Network with Domestic Workers in the Netherlands
Who we are?

We are a group of allies coming from different backgrounds who stand in solidarity with
domestic workers in the Netherlands. Recognizing how the current crisis is hitting
undocumented, domestic workers the hardest, we aim to create “social security” for
them to rely on during this difficult times.

Our Mission:
- To work together to create “social security” for domestic workers
- To amplify voices and needs of domestic workers
- To work together to improve livelihoods of domestic workers
- To weave different communities/networks in support of domestic workers
- To gather and provide information related to the issues domestic workers face, and
offer political education, to the general public
- To work together with domestic workers for the future goal of formalizing domestic
work

How to achieve the goals?
- Reach out different communities and build a strong support network for domestic
workers
- Run platform (a website?) that amplify the voices and needs of domestic workers
The guiding Principals
- We work alongside domestic workers as equal partners
- We work with respect to ILO C189 treaty of International Labor Organization
- We work with respect to rights of migrant workers defined in International
Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of
Their Families
